First Blog

My first shoot....

This will sound so cliché but I've loved photography since I first picked up a camera. I didn't pursue my passion for a long time because I didn't have the courage. I am incredibly blessed to have had the support to follow my dreams. The first shoot I did was that of a young lady and her horse. I was so nervous. I read the tips and how to manual to make sure my settings were accurate. I double checked I had everything I thought I needed. I scrambled around to make the flower crowns for her and the horse. As we drove to the location I felt the nervousness take over and I wanted to cancel. I stepped out into the field, saw the horse, my subject and before I knew it I had 1200 images on my Canon T6 (not in burst mode). I stayed until the daylight escaped. Beautiful TEXAS sunset, a girl, her best friend and me. The magic and beauty that came out of that shoot ignited a passion in me to pursue my dreams and learn everything I could about photography. I never want to say I am finished learning about photography because as a creative I feel we constantly evolve. Learn something new everyday. Everyday I want to see something through my lens that invokes my creativity and begs of me to push myself. I will always encourage you to chase your dreams, be a better version of yourself than you were today and leave this world a better place, be the change you want to see. Have a fabulous week and remember to love yourself.

One of my favorites from this shoot.

Best friends forever
